What’s the difference between On-Exchange and Off-Exchange SHOP/Small Group plans?
It depends, but the main difference between the two is the eligibility for a Small Business Health Care Tax Credit associated with the small group plans.
On-Exchange plans: If you are a small group employer, you may be eligible for a Small Business Health Care Tax Credit subsidy. You can purchase these plans through the Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP) on healthcare.gov any month, any time of year.
Off-Exchange plans: If your small group is not eligible for a Small Business Health Care Tax Credit subsidy, you can purchase our plans directly through your insurance carrier.
Please note: The Nevada Health CO-OP will not be offering plans for 2016. Please click here for more information.
